By Eileen jewellery are delicate pieces consciously handcrafted with love and a touch of magic. Our jewellery are handcrafted in primarily solid sterling silver and solid gold - with the exceptions of permanent jewellery that includes 14k gold filled; and some of our archival range that includes gold vermeil.
Over time, through exposure to elements like oxygen, humidity, body chemistry, chemicals, sterling silver can develop a natural tarnish. This means that a thin dark layer forms on the surface of your metal. Fun Fact: The best way to keep your jewellery shiny and tarnish free is to wear them!
All jewellery comes in a branded box and/or pouch for you to store your jewellery.
Whilst, you can certainly wear them in water; and also use your standard skincare products, for the longevity of your jewellery we do recommend the following:
-
It’s best to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming (, sleeping, exercising washing your hands or applying lotion or perfume.
- Be careful to avoid tugging your pieces when putting them on or off.
- When not in use, store your jewellery in a cool, dry place, ideally in an airtight plastic ziplock bag, box or pouch (like the one we supply).
- Wash them with a soft brush and warm soapy water; and polish them with polishing cloth to keep them shiny.
- Avoid harsh chemicals such as cleaning products and alcohol based perfumes.
